Traveling has been my therapy for years. I've gained amazing friends and lost a few.

I wasn't aware of the community of Fruitful Vale in Portland. Its names sparked my interest. Also, the beautiful springs that are in the community.

I took a Portland Coaster bus located in Half Way Tree. I confirmed the location I had with a passenger that was sitting behind me.

She said the taxis to Fruitful Vale were parked across from Daren Vaz's office on Tucker Road.

I've ventured to this part of Portland before when I visited Swift River.

When I got to Hope Bay, I asked one of the taxi drivers where the Fruitful Vale Taxis are parked. Another taxi guy replied, " tek yuh seat, mi ah load"

He was cleaning his car. I put my bag in the front seat while I waited for more passengers. It wasn't long before passengers arrived.

I showed him a video of the spring I wanted to see. He said he knew where it was. He carried me to the wrong spring that was controlled by the National Water Commission.

He asked one of the passengers about the spring I was dying to see.

They told him where it was. We continued on our journey in the hills of Portland.

I stared out of the car at Fruitful Vale's beauty. I didn't realize when the driver said I was at my destination.

I asked him how long before I reach my destination. He said we passed it.

I was able to see another Spring that I didn't intend on seeing because he passed my stop.

He offered to take my pictures. I was surprised because he was working and he offered to do it at no cost.

He was very patient and a quick learner. I think our paths were meant to be crossed.

There weren't a lot of persons around to ask to be my photographer. I was happy he offered his services.

We spent half of an hour taking photos.

The rain drizzled for but not for long.

He stood under his umbrella and took my photos. I was impressed.

I added this kind gentleman to my list of first experiences along with the lush community of Fruitful Vale.

He told me a few things about Fruitful Vale that I didn't found on Google.

This community provides the most fruits, vegetables, and ground provisions than other places in the parish of Portland.

I saw the farmers loading their produce on the huge trucks that carry them to the major markets.

One of the many reasons why I love traveling is that I get to meet great people.

The relationships might be short-lived. Many lessons learned and experiences gained.
