Join Me On An Adventure To Prospect Waterfalls And A Few Surprises Along The Way

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.” – Steve Jobs

Simone, my waterfall angel, is in Canada, so she couldn't have been more helpful in directing me to this new waterfall in Jamaica. Because it was part of the Yaaman Adventure tours, I wasn't particularly interested in posting photos of this waterfall online.

It wouldn't be trespassing, though, because I planned to hike to the waterfalls along the river. And I thought...I sent a message to @anet.digital. Canadian-born content creator. We have been mutually supportive of each other's Instagram posts for a long time, but we have never actually met.

I figured an exciting outing like this would be a great way to meet for the first time. Since she was already there, I decided to call her and invite her on an adventure with me through the hills of St. Mary.

From Spanish Town, I rode the roller coaster bus to St. Ann's Ocho Rios. Rain fell heavily. When I first heard that the trip was canceled, I assumed the worst.

When we reached the Ocho Rios Bus Park, I started a lively conversation with the minibus driver. It was pouring rain, and Anet was still in Ocho Rios, so I stayed on the bus.

The bus driver and I had a nice, casual conversation about various topics on the way there. He was a Muslim who was interested in hearing new perspectives.

He said the constant drizzle made today a bad business day. It wasn't until Anet called a few minutes later that I realized we weren't going on the trip to Prospect after all. A few minutes later, she arrived, as she had promised.

When she showed up, the rain stopped, and we were able to continue with our plans. After saying my goodbyes to Anet, I welcomed my new friend.

We followed our GPS to the town of Prospect. There was a sign posted that said no trespassing, but we disregarded it.

Too late to go looking for the river, which we could have explored by walking its course if we had done so. After passing through the time capsule, we continued along the gravel path.

The experience of teleporting through time for the first time was incredible.

We descended a hilly path into the bushy undergrowth and eventually reached the river. To be honest, I was completely at a loss for words. I had expected the river, which had been brown before the rain, to be clear and beautiful

As soon as it happened, I started taking as many pictures and videos as I could. For the day, Anet was my photographer, and I was her subject.

I hastily joined my new love at the waterfall, where we made as many instantaneous memories as possible.

It was like I'd been transported to a paradisiacal waterfall all over again. There was no jealousy in this parallel universe where I kept falling in love with waterfalls.

Eventually, I found my way back to planet Earth. We continued upstream until we reached the last waterfall, Prospect Waterfall. The most well-known cascades along the river.

It had a lovely form and stood out from the crowd.

The river was the perfect color, with a variety of greens.

Arriving at Prospect Waterfall

Additionally, green is one of my favorite hues. We left because we had to get back to our own property.

I really wanted to go downriver, but we were running out of time. Next time I come, I'll know to go through Yaaman Adventures and explore the old plantation without worrying about getting lost.

After going to Prospect, I realized how much I missed St. Mary.

I couldn't resist pursuing these undiscovered treasures. My feelings were completely out of my control.

I fell deeply and hopelessly in love with all of Prospect's secret attractions.
