Whatta Gwaan!

You've discovered my blog. I'm delighted you're here. Maybe it's destiny. I'm Doreen Lillian Scarlett. Welcome to Nature's Sweet Escapes, where I go on the far side of Instagram to document and share my adventures.

A lyric by Magic that I hold true and close to my heart is "There's no gift I can buy that could make you feel that kind of high. There are no words I can say that will deeply, truly compensate". This is how I feel when I travel. A complete love affair with exploring

I truly believe you should not wait for anyone to make you happy. Life is too short to wait for an adventure to fill your heart.

"So let's not waste the time we are given on earth. I want to share with you, I want to bear with you, I want to care for you, I want to be there for you  I want to stare at you like nobody's there but you."

The band Magic wrote, "This is my love letter to nature." Yeah, I know. I'm literally crazy in love with the sea, rivers, waterfalls, dirt, trees, sky, mountains, hills, valleys, stars, clouds, etc.

"I always give because of the treasures that you bring, and even if I could, I would never stay away. No doubt you give me something I can't do without. You give me feelings I cannot explain, keeping me coming back again and again".

Lyric, this time by Mortimer. This is what nature does to me. Have me singing love songs, dancing, smiling, and taking risks. I am so appreciative of my little paradise here on earth.

My friend Rosheena and I decided we needed to stop living our lives in circles. Work, school, then home, and the cycle continued. We decided to find a new location to explore every month. I became obsessed and started exploring every weekend.

My travel blog was created as a starting point to share my travels. Nature's Sweet Escapes is a natural spring of motivation and enlightenment for individuals who are passionate about traveling and trying to live a life with fewer regrets.

According to the band Magic, "The world isn't over yet. We've still got a chance to place our bets. Don't let your worries second-guess you. We'll start over fresh. Before we lose everything we have tomorrow. Can we forget what went wrong yesterday? Living a life with no regrets". I live by this lyric.

Individuals who are afraid to venture to beautiful destinations alone are in the right place. Nature's Sweet Escapes mission is to influence individuals to venture out and travel this amazing world by sharing countless adventures and guides to destinations.

Nature’s Sweet Escapes is an unstrained oasis in an otherwise orderly area packed with stories and hiccups about my travels over the years.

If you’re a fan of being free-spirited, energetic, excited about life, honest, confident, blunt, optimistic, restless, progressive, and adventurous, you are where you need to be.

I believe I am different from other travel bloggers. I swear on many occasions and am a curious adventurer. I love sharing hidden gems found at home, especially when others refuse to give the locations of these hidden gems.

I am zealous about things like eating healthy, cooking, exploring my island of Jamaica, doing good as much as possible, making people laugh, creating memories, and trying new things like making crochet swimwear, learning how to braid hair, diving, etc.

My blog is a compilation of memories and adventures that will likely amuse you and make you laugh.

I absolutely adore everything about my home country, Jamaica. Therefore, I want to share it with everyone with the expectation that it will motivate them as it did me.

I couldn’t get enough of how beautiful my island, Jamaica, is. It became my passion. I started taking photos and got extremely good at them. I finally found something I was in love with.

I found out that being in one area would not please my crawling feet ever since I took my first trip to Portland. I love this parish with my entire mind, body, and soul. My future home will be right here in Portland, on the east coast of the island.

I’ve got lots of stories on my blog. Some I have not seen since I’ve published them. So you might find a lot of great things while searching. You will thank me later.

I’ve lived in Jamaica all my life. I’ve never left this beautiful island. All my adventures are in my beautiful home country, Jamaica.

I would like to meet you if you are in Jamaica, or just say hello if you spot me on the beach or at a waterfall.

A lot of people are surprised. Going through my catalog, I surprised myself as well. At every corner, there is somewhere beautiful to explore.

I’ve been to so many beautiful places on the island, but I've specialized in the exceptionally beautiful parish of Portland.

Travel is my life. I feel so at peace when I find somewhere new to explore or return to one of my favourite destinations.

I go to most places alone, and I have a blast. I dug around and found out that’s how Sanitarians were. We love traveling, whether alone or with people who share the same passion.

I live by the quote, "Don’t be afraid of death; be afraid of an unlived life. There are so many places to see, things to do, people to meet, and memories to create.

I am a regular girl who explores her island via public transportation. I decided if I’m going to travel regularly, public transportation was the cheapest route to take.

Some people on Instagram might think I am wealthy, but I am not yet. I have a regular job, which is my only source of income. I hope to get paid for doing what I love the most: traveling.

If getting paid doesn’t happen for me in this life, I have a backup plan for sure. But I hope it does in this life, the next, and the one after.

Point to note: I'm not a professional writer, hence you will see a few typos; I'm working on my grammar.
