"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." –Lao Tzu
After sprinting away from the mosquito mayhem at Waterfall Number Five, we stumbled upon something completely unexpected— a majestic natural pool tucked quietly into the landscape like a secret waiting to be discovered.
The photos I took here were absolutely breathtaking. I was stunned by its raw, untouched beauty. It felt like the rain had washed the entire forest in color. Every leaf, every tree, every blade of grass glowed with vibrant life. The greens were greener. The air felt lighter. And the whole place shimmered like a dream.
You could hear the insects and animals celebrating in the distance—an invisible orchestra playing the soundtrack to this magical moment. The chirps, buzzes, and rustling leaves all added to the magic. It felt like nature was throwing a party. The best part? The mosquitoes didn’t get an invite to this party. I was free to linger, soak in the beauty, and breathe deeply without flinching.
We had perfect lighting too. Sunbeams filtered through the trees above, lighting up the pool just enough to give everything a golden glow. All I had to do was pose while my tour guide snapped the most beautiful photos. I was living inside a postcard.
After enjoying the peaceful spring, we took just a few more steps—and there it was: Waterfall Number Six.
Small, yes. But oh-so-gorgeous. It had its own charm, tucked quietly between the trees. It almost stole my heart… almost. But let’s be honest—Waterfall Number Three still holds the crown. Waterfall Number Six in the Rio Grande Valley, Portland, is much larger and makes quite an impression with its powerful flow and scenic surroundings.
This spot? It’s perfect for a romantic first date, a birthday picnic, or just a relaxing escape into nature. It's a photographer’s dream.
Even better—it had a natural swimming pool at its base, gentle and safe enough for non-swimmers to enjoy.
As if that wasn’t enough, I spotted fruit trees in the distance. Honestly, this place couldn’t have been more perfect.
Honestly, I felt like the luckiest girl in the world—wandering through this hidden community, discovering magic around every bend. There’s something so fulfilling about being off the beaten path, surrounded by untouched beauty.
Feeling filled with gratitude and awe, we continued our journey—next stop: Waterfall Number Seven.
Hope you’re not tired yet… because the adventure continues.
