"Nature is pleased with simplicity." –Sir Isaac Newton
My adventures in Spring Bank, St. Thomas, have officially become a love story. As my tour guide and I walked along a narrow path decorated with banana trees and wild greenery, Lia Knapp’s lyrics played in my head:
“And now I’m laying down my weapons.
And it’s left me vulnerable.
And I don’t like being vulnerable.
But I got slowly overexposed to you.
How’d I go and get so damn close to you?
Now you’re living in my head.
You’re in my system.
Should strengthen my defense.
But instead, I unfold. I’m overexposed to you.”
That’s exactly how I feel about Spring Bank and its hidden gems. I’ve fallen completely, hopelessly in love. This place has me under a spell.
I hope this doesn’t cause any tension with my beloved Portland—because every turn I took here reminded me of the Rio Grande Valley, and I’m already itching to return.
We climbed a steep path for about ten minutes, anticipation building with each step, until we finally reached Waterfall Number Eight.
And there it was—another gem to add to my ever-growing list of waterfalls across Jamaica.
This one felt heavenly. The way the trees arched gracefully over the waterfall made it look like something straight out of a fantasy novel. I immediately grabbed my camera.
The sunlight danced through the leaves, giving us perfect lighting, and the water rushed gently over the rocks. The air was cool, the vibe was peaceful, and the water was just warm enough to welcome us.
I was inspired. Inspired to tell stories. Inspired to encourage others to explore—whether alone or with others. If you’re brave enough to go solo, do it. The peace, the laughter, the healing, the inspiration… it’s all out here waiting for you. You might even meet strangers who become lifelong friends.
Laying on a smooth stone, I felt a wave of gratitude and inspiration.
I began to manifest the life I truly want—one surrounded by waterfalls, rivers, mountains, and peace.
Nature and I? We’ve been friends for years. And every time, nature shows up with something more magical than before. Nature never disappoints. She's brought me peace, healing, and beautiful moments I’ll cherish forever.
Spring Bank keeps surprising me with its treasures. I can only imagine what other wonders are still hidden across the rest of St. Thomas.
Waterfall Number Eight is truly special, but for now, my heart still belongs to:
Waterfall Number Three – Unforgettable, spellbinding.
Waterfall Number Four – A close second, full of soul.
Waterfall Number Seven – Jungle vibes and pure joy.
What are your thoughts on Waterfall Number Eight? Which one has captured your heart so far? Let’s talk in the comments—I love hearing from you.
See you at Waterfall Number Nine! And remember—adventure, healing, and magic are always just one waterfall away.
