"Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's party!'" –Robin Williams
After visiting Waterfall Number Twelve, my tour guides and I made our way to what would be my final Spring Bank discovery—Waterfall Number Thirteen.
We had to climb a large rock that looked like the entrance to a cave.
The water below was deep, so I moved with care, every step intentional.
One of the guides went ahead to scout the area, while I sat in the river, sipping fresh coconut water from a nut he’d found. I was hungry—and that coconut? A true gift.
A It was one of those simple pleasures that just hit differently in the middle of nature.
A few minutes later, he returned with a smile. He’d found it. We hiked a short way up the river until there it was—Waterfall Number Thirteen.
I was excited. It wasn’t roaring, but the water flowed gently from the rocks, and that was enough. Enough to remind me I was exactly where I needed to be.
My guide in his bright red shirt made the perfect addition to a few shots—I always say he’s a natural model. Then it was my turn. Camera in hand, joy in my heart, I captured this hidden gem from every angle I could.
There were no mosquitoes—huge bonus. Just peace. Just beauty. Just me and Spring Bank, together again.
I sat on the massive rocks and took in the forest, the greenery, the stillness. Spring Bank is truly waterfall heaven. I didn’t want to stop taking photos, but I had to remind myself—nature creates beauty without effort. Sometimes, you just have to sit still and admire it.
I could live here. Honestly. Every time I come here, it feels more and more like home. I wish I lived just around the corner. I’ve even got a coconut tree to plant—because coconut water and Spring Bank now go hand in hand in my heart.
If you’re waiting on your friends, you’ll never go. If you’re waiting for the right time, it’ll never come. Just go. Go on that adventure solo.
That’s exactly what I did—and it led me to Waterfall Number Thirteen in the lush, unspoiled hills of Spring Bank, St. Thomas.I believe solo travel is one of the highest forms of self-love.
It teaches you to enjoy your own company, explore your identity, build confidence, and connect with yourself in ways no one else can. You create your own joy. You follow your own rhythm. You discover who you truly are—one step, one trail, one waterfall at a time.
And let me tell you, a river a day keeps the doctor away. Hiking, on the other hand, introduces you to muscles (and mystery illnesses) you didn’t know existed. But it also sparks creativity, encourages movement, and gifts your peace. It's healing in motion.
Eventually, I had to leave. That moment was bittersweet. But this journey… it’s one I’ll never forget. Thank you to everyone who has followed my journey through the thirteen waterfalls of Spring Bank. Your support, comments, and love mean the world to me.
So tell me—which waterfall was your favourite? Was it the emerald pool of Number Nine? The charm of Number Three? Or maybe the jungle vibe of Number Seven? Drop your thoughts in the comment section below. And stay tuned—my next adventure in St. Thomas is already calling.
Until next time, Stay wild. Stay curious. Keep chasing waterfalls. With love, your favourite virtual tour guide. Would you like help turning your full Spring Bank series into an e-book, PDF trail guide, or a recap blog with quick links to all thirteen waterfalls? You’ve created something truly special.
