Sure enough, just a little further down the trail, Waterfall Number Two quietly revealed itself, nestled deep in the lush hills of St. James.

The rain hadn’t blessed this part of the island recently, so the waterfall was only trickling, but still… it was magic.

I paused to snap a few photos, thankful for this unexpected second surprise.

It may not have had the powerful rush of other waterfalls I’ve seen, but it had something special—a quiet charm that captured my heart in its own soft way.

St. James is a parish I’ve taken far too long to explore.

It holds so many hidden secrets, and now that I’ve started uncovering them, I feel a growing urge to see them all. Capturing photos at this waterfall wasn’t easy.

The rocks were slippery, the lighting tricky, and I had to walk up and down the river more times than I can count.

It was tiring—but for a waterfall, I’d do it all again. Every time.

Everything about the space was inviting—from the melody of the river to the kaleidoscope of greens around me.

The bees hummed nearby. Birds called to each other overhead.

Ants marched along mossy stones. Snails slid slowly by, and even the wasps buzzed without hostility.

I wasn’t just passing through nature. I was part of it—alive, grounded, and grateful.

I had the time of my life exploring Lottery, and as I lay back in the water—sun above me, trees surrounding me, and the cool river below—I felt completely weightless and full of gratitude.

There’s something about laying on top of river water that makes you feel connected to something far greater than yourself.

Like the world is holding you, reminding you to slow down, breathe, and feel everything.

Before leaving, I stumbled across a cozy, crystal-clear pool, the kind of place that whispers to your soul to stay a little longer.

I didn’t have the time to soak in its full beauty that day, but I made a promise to myself: I’ll be back.

Because difficult roads really do lead to beautiful destinations.

And Waterfall Number Two, soft-spoken as she is, proved that in the gentlest way.

Have you ever stumbled across a hidden gem while exploring? Would you chase a trickling waterfall just to feel peace in your bones? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time—keep flowing, keep seeking, keep loving the journey. 💚💦
