What to Bring Camping in Jamaica

Before heading out, check whether your chosen campsite provides tents, sleeping equipment, bathrooms and cooking facilities.

Pack a flashlight, insect repellent, drinking water, suitable footwear, warm clothing for mountain destinations, rain protection and a first-aid kit.

When camping near rivers, check the weather forecast and avoid setting up tents in flood-prone areas.

Final Thoughts

Jamaica has so much more to offer than beaches and all-inclusive hotels. Camping gives visitors an opportunity to enjoy the island's mountains, rivers, forests and countryside in a completely different way.

For me, there's nothing quite like spending a night surrounded by nature, enjoying good food outdoors and waking up somewhere beautiful.Whether you're a first-time camper or an experienced adventurer, there's always somewhere new to explore.
